Yoga Retreats in Arizona: Paradise Valley 2025

yoga retreats in arizona 2025

We have our first retreat of 2025 happening NEXT MONTH and we could not be more excited to step back into this space with you all. Some of you might be wondering, why Paradise Valley, why not, I don’t know, Sedona? Well it’s kinda cold in Sedona right now and this urban desert landscape that we call Phoenix is really rad.

Think about it, where else in the United States would you even want to be during the end of February?! It’s the definition of perfect weather here. We think it’s time you take a break and let yourself receive all weekend long.

Let us tell you why we’re hosting a yoga retreat in Paradise Valley while we highlight some of the things we’re most excited about next month.

1. Retreat highlights

Hiking Camelback Mountain (optional): Camelback Mountain is one of Phoenix's best hikes and most popular attractions. Fun fact, Camelback gets its name from its two rock formations that resemble the head and back of a kneeling camel. A friendly challenge to locals and tourists, you're bound to catch beautiful views no matter where you chose to end. Did we mention the weather will be perfect for a morning hike?

Massage + Hot Stones: Honestly, do we need to say more? We’ve intentionally scheduled messages for those who are attending Rooted Retreat: Paradise Valley to happen during our Sacred Silence. Expect to rest, reflect, nap, and just straight up relax before, during, and after your massage with Edna. Her hands are magic!

The Food: You don’t have to tell us twice how important the food is. That’s why we take time to find chefs who are aligned with the same goal we have for those attending any of our retreats. To feel nourished, full, and strong by the meals we serve you throughout the day. Insert Mackenzie, A classically trained private chef who has a passion for creating seasonally inspired dishes that focus on simple, local ingredients.

“Food can heal us, our mind, our body, our spirit. Eating is so embedded into our daily lives as a habit, that not only do we forget to stop and smell the spices, but we dismiss the feeling it brings altogether.” Mackenzie Larsen.

Modern Moon Private Beading Party: We love adding a creative outlet to our retreats. Did you know 46% of Americans use creative activities to relieve stress or anxiety? There’s a method to our madness here. We’re going to have the chance to completely drop into a creative outlet alongside one another as we create a bracelet to take home with us all. How cool?

2. Workshop highlights

Backbends 101: We’ve designed this clinic with ALL levels in mind. Whether you’re a teacher looking to learn SAFE and reliable hands-on assists, or a student looking for drills to work on your backbends, we’ll have something for you. Expect to begin with a flow practice to release tension in the shoulders, hips, and spine, progressing through a series of prep work to build the foundations for safe, deep backbends. We’ll place emphasis on breathing techniques, core engagement, and proper alignment to protect the lower back and open the chest.

Mantras and Mudras Yoga Workshop: Learn about chanting & sacred sounds. We’ll explore their meanings, vibrations, and how they can help quiet the mind and create focus. We will explore a deep dive into the ancient practice of mudras, hand gestures that influence your physical and mental state. We’ll explore specific mudras to enhance your energy, balance your chakras, and encourage inner balance. Plan to end with a unique flow of yoga sequences designed to incorporate both mantras and mudras, helping you deepen your mindfulness and presence on the mat.
